Wheels
Wheels are very important to the safety and enjoyment of all involved.
The wheels have 2 numbers on them.
- 1st number is the wheel size. (80-76-72-68 are all common sizes.
- 2nd number is the durometer or wheel density. The number is followed by an A.
72A is the ideal number for the best grip on the floor. Some manufacturers just use grip, x grip, xx grip as there measure of density.
Lower the number, stickier the wheel.
New skates from the store use outdoor wheels 78A and are not suited for indoor use. Too slippery and dangerous.
Wheels are available online and sometimes even at clearance prices.
Be sure you get the right set up for the skates being worn. HI-LO chasis will usually require 2 different sizes for each skate so pay close attention to the size of each one.
I will do my best to answer your questions as soon as possible but please be patient with me in this regard.
